Get your technical training from top technical experts Posted: 10 Sep 2010 09:00 AM PDT You've heard the old adage, "Those who can, do. Those who can't, teach." Well, that might be true in some fields, but it's certainly not the case with technical training in the IT industry. When it comes to teaching others about networking and other sophisticated topics, only the top technical experts need apply for the job. Leading vendors like Cisco, Microsoft, Novell and HP put stringent requirements on who teaches their official courses -- and that's good news for the students who want to learn from the best. |

The efficacy of the simple, and poorly worded e-mail luring users to click on a malicious link demonstrates why we need a whole new approach to malware defense. |

Another SMS Trojan Appears on Android Phones Posted: 09 Sep 2010 09:00 AM PDT Kaspersky Labs first announced its detection of what appeared to be the first of several SMS Trojans on Google's Android operating system on August 9th. The application released in Russian markets outside of Google's Android Market, was disguised as a media player. Once installed, the code would send 3 premium SMS messages, effectively transferring the US equivalent of ~$18 from the user to the recipient company. |
