Posted: 18 Jun 2010 09:00 AM PDT At last month's GlueCon conference my buddy Nishant Kaushik (he's lead strategist for identity management at Oracle) delivered a very well-received presentation entitled "Federated Provisioning and the Cloud." He's posted the slides online, but -- more importantly -- he's written a series of blog posts explaining the session and going into much more detail. |

Spies, WikiLeaks, and hackers, oh my! Posted: 18 Jun 2010 09:00 AM PDT It's like a Hollywood thriller. A military spy is arrested, betrayed by someone he thought to be a comrade in arms -- a brilliant yet mentally disabled hacker. A journalist is on the run, hunted by the authorities who want to know what he knows. All it needs is a love interest and Matt Damon, and I think we can get this greenlit. (When I get through with this blog post I'm going to have my agent call Spielberg and set up a lunch.) |
WikiLeaks part II: Adrian Lamo responds Posted: 18 Jun 2010 09:00 AM PDT Yesterday's post about the ongoing WikiLeaks saga prompted a couple of fascinating responses, including one from the person at the heart of that post, hacker-turned-journalist Adrian Lamo. In it he corrects a number of errors I made, as well as providing more context about his side of the story -- his relationship with Wired News reporter Kevin Poulsen (KLP) and accused spy Bradley Manning, as well as whether he was actively working with law enforcement to bring Manning in. I have his permission to run his response in full. |
